Hand Made Fountain Pen Redwood Lace Burl with Gold/Chrome

This is an elegant, classy handcrafted fountain pen made from Redwood Lace Burl.  It is finished in a gold coating and trimmed out with chrome.  The redwood is a deep red with browns and has a great looking grain pattern.  It is really a nice pen.  It feels great to hold and has a fantastic weight.   

This fountain pen has been handcrafted by turning a blank of Redwood Lace Burl and finishing it to a mirror polish.  All external components are finished with a Gold finish with Chrome accents.  The finish will provide durable and dependable service. This is a fountain pen (not ballpoint) pen which has a separate cap to cover the pen.  The cap does post (that is, it can screw onto the back of the pen).  It writes very smoothly and easily, and takes a univeral ink cartridge, making it easy to refill. (This pen can be converted to a rollerball pen, if desired.  Just send me an e-mail if you are interested in the rollerball pen.)

The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. The pen will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day.

The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of wood and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200) of sandpaper to create a very smooth surface.  The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using multiple polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish.  It is finished with a hand application of a preservation wax.

The pen comes with ink cartridge, ink converter pump and a velvet pen pouch. Replacement ink can easily be found at most office supply stores. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered.  Product dimensions are the approximate size of the pen.

The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, we will do our best to create duplicates of the pen, using the same wood and finish.
