Handcrafted Rollerball Spalted Hackberry with Gold/Chrome

Simply breathtaking! So take a deep breath and exhale -- slowly.  Spalted Hackberry contains fantastic grain which is highlighted by the dark, spalted lines of the wood.  This Spalted Hackberry rollerball pen has a little of everything.  The pen makes a bold statement with pronounced black lines that accent the grain and bold, rich yellow-tan colors.  Simply eye-catching!  A wonderful rollerball pen which is sure to impress everyone.  It is finished in a gold with chrome accents.  It feels great to hold and has a good weight balance.   

This rollerball pen (not ballpoint) has been handcrafted by turning a blank of Spalted Hackberry and finishing it to a mirror polish.  All external components are finished with a Gold finish with Chrome accents.  The finish will provide durable and dependable service. The pen has a separate cap to cover the pen.  The cap does post, that is, it can screw onto the back of the pen.   It writes very smoothly and easily, and takes a Schmidt Style Rollerball Ink Cartridge to make it easy to refill.  This pen can be converted to a fountain pen, if desired.  Just send me an e-mail if you are interested in the fountain pen.

The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. It will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day.

The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of wood and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200) of sandpaper to create a very smooth surface.  The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using 12 polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish.  It is finished with a hand application on a preservation wax.

The pen comes with your choice of ink color and a drawstring pen pouch. Replacement ink can easily be found on our website (Parker Style Rollerball Ink Cartridge) or at most office supply stores. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered.  Product dimensions are the approximate size of the pen.

The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, we will do our best to create duplicates of the pen, using the same wood and finish.
