Handmade Rollerball Pen Flame Boxelder Chrome/Black

Great character in this Flame Boxelder Rollerball Pen.  The "flame" is the result of spalting by a fungus.  But, it looks great!  This piece of wood has pronouced character, grain and color, which make it a spectacular looking pen. This classic handcrafted rollerball pen is made from Flame Boxelder Burl wood.  It is finished in a chrome finish with black highlights.  It feels great to hold and has a fantastic weight and is a little slimmer than most rollerballs.   

This pen has been handcrafted by turning a blank and finishing it to a mirror polish.  All external components are finished with a Chrome finish with Black accents.  The finish will provide years of durable and dependable service. This is a rollerball pen (not ballpoint) pen which has a separate cap to cover the pen.  The cap does post (that is, it can screw onto the back of the pen).  It writes very smoothly and easily, and takes a Schmidt rollerball cartridge, making it easy to refill. (This pen can be converted to a fountain pen, if desired.  Just send me an e-mail if you are interested in the fountain pen.)

The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. The pen will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day.

The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of wood and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200) of sandpaper to create a very smooth surface.  The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using 12 polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish.  It is finished with a hand application on a preservation wax.

The pen comes with your choice of ink color and a drawstring velvet pen pouch. Replacement ink can easily be found in our Parker-style Rollerball Pen refills or at most office supply stores. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered.  Product dimensions are the approximate size of the pen.

The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, we will do our best to create duplicates of the pen, using the same wood and finish.
