Applying Finishing Paste (Step 14)
After the sanding through all the grits has been completed (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200), the final finish coats can be applied. This pen is being finished with a friction polish, which uses a finishing paste. Other pens have a more glossy topcoat finish, which is not demonstrated in this video. The finishing paste technique demonstrated results in a pen with a natural wood feel.
