Removing Sanding Dust (Step 12)

After each cross-sanding task and between each successively finer grit of sanding paper, you must remove the saw dust / fine dust that the sanding process generates. This is the residue that is left on the pen. The sawdust must be removed, so that the particles are not mixed up in the next finer grit sandpaper, which would leave streaks in the finish. A solvent is wiped on the pen blank to remove the dust.
