Handmade Rollerball Pen Spalted Maple Rhodium/Black Titanium

Classic!  Elegant!  Both are words that can be used to describe the look of this Spalted Blackline Maple Rollerball pen!  Spalting is a discoloration of the wood grain and this spalted maple is a great example of how the dark spalting highlights the grain in this pen.  Simply breathtaking with the heavy spalting on the cap and sleek arrow-like spalting on the body!  This Spalted Maple Rollerball Pen has a rich tan color pronouced with black lines running through the pen. Very eye-catching!  A very nice looking rollerball pen which is sure to impress everyone around.  It is finished in a Chrome finish.  It feels great to hold and has a good weight balance.   

This rollerball pen has been handcrafted by turning a blank of Spalted Maple and finishing it to a mirror polish.  All external components are finished with a Chrome finish.  The finish will provide durable  service. This is a rollerball pen (not ballpoint) pen which has a separate cap to cover the pen.  The cap does post (that is, it can screw onto the back of the pen).   It writes very smoothly and easily, and takes a Parker cartridge to make it easy to refill.  (This pen can be converted to a fountain pen, if desired.  Just send me an e-mail if you are interested in the fountain pen.)

The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. The pen will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day.

The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of material and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200) of sandpaper to create a very smooth surface.  The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using 12 polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish.  It is finished with a hand application on a preservation wax.

The pen comes with your choice of ink color (blue or black) and a velvet draw string pen pouch. Replacement ink can easily be found at most office supply stores or at Rollerball Pen Refills section. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered.  Product dimensions are the approximate size of the pen.

The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, we will do our best to create duplicates of the pen, using the same wood and finish.
