Handmade Maple Pens

Maple is a lot of variety.  There are many types of maple.  Curly Maple is a light colored, stunning wood with wavy grain that really pops under a finish.  The grain literally moves when you move the pen.  Big Leaf Maple is a light colored brown wood with swirls of grain, "eyes", and other colors that really look nice under a finish. The grain can be dramatic. Birdseye Maple is a light colored, stunning wood with little "eyes" of grain that really pops under a finish. The eyes are small, tight swirls of grain that look spectacular as you move the pen. Spalted Maple is distinctive, with dark lines running through the grain that accentuate its character.
