Fountain Pen Refillable Ink Converter - Standard Push In

This is a standard, refillable reservoirs for fountain pens found on our site.  Ink cartridges are easy to use when refilling your fountain pen, but by using a fountain pen converter you can expand your possibilities!  Ink converters allow you to use bottled fountain pen inks, which are available in a wide array of colors and are less expensive than ink cartridges.  You can even mix and make your own color of ink.  This piston converter fits in your pen like an ink cartridge.  Make sure you have a few extras on hand so you can use them for all your different colored fountain pen inks!

This is an interntational (sometimes called universal) converter compatible with many pens sold internationally (but not all fountain pens). This is a standard piston converter that ships with most of our fountain pens.  It is a converter that snaps in, pushes in (does not screw) to the fountain pen feed assembly.  To fill, turn the piston knob counterclockwise, insert into the ink bottle and then turn the knob clockwise to fill.

Please check your fountain pen to make sure that they are compatible with the international converters.  Although often refered to as a universal converter, they do not fit all pens.  These are compatible with a Schmidt K5.

• The length of the universal converter is 2 7/8".  
• The diameter of the widest part is 9/32 "
• The diameter of the part at the top, which controls the screw mechanism is 7/32"
• The diameter of the outside of the front part that pushes (not screws on to) onto the fountain pen feed is 11/64"
• The diameter of the inside of the hole is very difficult to measure.  But, it fits *over* the little piece in the feed, which is 3/32"
